a special project of the
      University of Mississippi Medical Center's
HIV/AIDS Program

The Mississippi HIV Network exists to provide continuous quality health care for persons from a diverse population with HIV/AIDS.  State of the art treatment is provided in a confidential, nurturing environment.  This is accomplished through a statewide network of health care professionals providing expert clinical consultation regardless of geographical boundaries.  This collaborative effort is linked via a security enhanced dial-up network, allowing the immediate exchange of information necessary to ensure quality care of the patient.  Providers of this network foster the premise that each person with HIV disease should be empowered with the right to seek the optimum health and social outcome in a manner which recognized his/her dignity, worth, and human rights.
